I love fall and couldn't wait to take Ashtyn to the Pumpkin Patch this year. We decided to go early in the season to miss the MAD Chaos, and take advantage of the great weather! We visited the Rock Creek Farm in Broomfield along with Sandy and Emily, which is great place, because you get to drive right out to the field and cut your pumpkins right off the stem. Ashtyn was so excited when we got there and started clapping her hands, and then when we got out of the truck, she said really loud "BALLS!" She thought the pumpkins looked like balls - how cute is that! She was just is heaven, walking around the field picking up pumpkins! She would find the smaller ones and hold on to them like they were the best thing in the world. Matt found some pretty big ones, not as big as we are used too, since my dad typically grows our pumpkins and they are HUGE, but they were very pretty pumpkins!

After picking our pumpkins we went to the petting zoo they had and ran around in the Hay Maze. They had cows, goats, chickens, sheep and pigs - which were Ashtyn's favorite, even though she thought they smelled, she kept "sniffing" her nose! Emily and I chased Ashtyn around the Hay Maze and then I took her down this big, blow up slide - I love big blow up things, and just couldn't pass up the opportunity!

All in all, it was a beautiful fall day to spend at the pumpkin patch, and watch Ashtyn get so excited about the "balls" and the piggies! It is so fun to see Ashtyn experience all these things for the first time - her eyes light up and she gets the biggest smile - its funny how the smallest things will just make her day - Can't wait till Christmas! Happy Fall!
