Happy New Years!

This year for New Year's we thought we would do something a little bit different - we decided to take a trip up to Red Feather and stay in my families cabin. Now the cabin has no running water, but it does have electricity so I wasn't sure how it would be in the cold weather. Well, we ended up having the best time ever! We invited our friends Jason, Stacey and their son Adam who is the same age as Ashtyn, whom definitely made the trip more interesting. Jason and Matt were in heaven with all the snow and played like little boys on their 4-Wheelers. We eventually got the two little ones all bundled up to go play in the snow and had a great time! We took them on the 4-Wheelers and then went sledding - they weren't too sure about the sledding part, but us big kids had a great time!

It was great to spend some time with the Ohlhieser's especially getting to know Adam who is quite a little boy! - oh he would make us laugh so much with the things he says and does - Ashtyn would just watch him - I wonder what she was thinking most the time! I think my favorite thing is how Adam gets his mom's attention by saying "Hey Mama" but in a sexy kinda voice - he definitely made me laugh! Ashtyn loves to color so we invited Adam to join us, but instead of gently coloring he would just eat the crayons and then spit them out - I guess that is just the difference between boys and girls!

.It was a beautiful, relaxing and fun way to bring in The New Year - maybe it will become a tradition of ours! Happy 2010!
