I am not going to lie - I feel a bit guilty about all the presents my kids received this year. They were beyond blessed they are just down right SPOILED!
It all started out with presents from Santa and of course from us...
(Why did we buy presents again?)
Santa brought Eli a basketball hoop, a truck and a stocking full of his favorite snacks, more cars and PACIFIERS - yeah Santa!
Santa brought Ashtyn a Lites Bright and a new puppy she named "Sparky"
(Ashtyn actually lost this same dog a couple months ago in Target and asked Santa for a new one)
From Mommy and Daddy, Ashtyn got Strawberry Shortcake dolls, horses, and a Vtech Innotab, which is basically an IPAD for a kid - she LOVED it!
Eli got the hang of his basketball hoop and was so proud of himself...
From Mommy and Daddy, Eli got some Tonka trucks, a John Deere tractor and a 4-wheeler to scoot around on...
We had a very BUSY Christmas day ahead of us, so after playing with their presents for a little while we got dressed and headed over to Nana and Papa's for more presents...
Grandma Warmbourg and Dan were able to join us and brought the kids some great presents...
Eli got a Little People Zoo and Ashtyn got a Belle doll, which she just loved and has not stopped playing with it since...
Nana and Papa spoiled us ALL with way to much stuff. Matt and I got new wardrobes while Ashtyn got new outfits, a saving bond and a My Little Pony play set. Eli got a couple outfits, Chuck the Truck and a savings bond as well - SPOILED!
And if that was not enough we headed over to Mimi's house for breakfast and more presents...
It's crazy to think we cram 21 people in Mimi's small family room to open presents. But it's tradition and we would have it no other way...
Mimi gave Ashtyn a Jesse doll and Bullseye and Eli got new boots.
All the boxes and wrapping paper ate Eli up...
This is what we should have gotten Eli - a box with nothing inside of it...
he could have cared less about presents and had no desire to open them, but playing in this box was AWESOME! He played it in for an hour and was more happy then ever to have a plain old box...
(Note to younger parents - just buy a box for any kid under two - they will LOVE it!)
We would tell him to go "night, night" and he would lay down in the box...
Even Aunt Pammie played in the box...
After Mimi's we headed home for some quick naps and then we were off to Pam and Steve's house for Christmas dinner. It was actually relaxing over there and a great way to end the day. Our kids did much better this year then last - maybe as they get older holidays will become more fun again.
Dinner was fantastic as usual - Turkey with homemade Raviolos. Eli ate two bowls of mashed potatoes...
The best though were the Irish Cream Coffees Steve made us for dessert - they were so delicious!
Eli LOVES beer and swiped this bottle right of Matt's hand when he saw it...
No worries - he didn't consume any beer. But he will be quite the chugger when he can drink!
Christmas was great, busy, hectic and chaotic - but what else could you ask for.
What can I say we are SPOILED!
