A wish come true...

Christmas Eve, this year, was a dream come true...
The entire family was all together for the first time in many years.  All fifteen of us celebrated Christmas together and it truly was a wish come true!  The six cousins ran around, playing and screaming with each other while the boys watch the Broncos lose - AGAIN, and us girls caught up on life over apple martinis.
Of course the afternoon was completely chaotic and LOUD, but it was SO great!

 Sweet Cheyenne - so pretty!
For dinner we of course had Mexican food - yummy!
We started the White Elephant tradition a couple years ago and it continues to be the highlight of the day.  It's always scary to open a box and have no idea what you are going to get - treasure or plain ol' crap!
Butch started it off by picking Sandy's present, which consisted of golf balls, Vera Wang jewelry and a Hangover tee shirt - Butch modeled it for us all to see...
Emily got Matt's popcorn popper shaped like a football...

Josh opened mine which was a sock monkey that sang jingle bells - it was the most annoying thing EVER!  I loved it - but I also included a Starbucks gift card to make it more desirable...

BUT every year there is the "winner" - the one present that gets everyone laughing and this year Sandy got Butch's present which was "Bells"-
(I am not even sure the proper name for them)
It was more funny, just because of who gave them and who received them, but believe me I may have peed my pants a little...
Of course there is a ton of stealing and switching gifts before the game is over, and Ariana ended up with my sweet monkey!
and I got the BEST present ever from Kodi!  She dipped wine glasses in chalkboard paint and Tah-Dah!
They are awesome and I can't wait to use them at my next Bunco Game Party!
After White Elephant the kids opened presents from Grandma and Butch - which Ashtyn had been waiting to do for so long!  And Elfie came to bring the kids their pajamas for Christmas...

Ashtyn got a kid's Nativity set and Eli got a bunch of Tonka trucks.
After presents Grandma and Butch watched the kids, so us big kids could all go to church.
Church was fantastic as usual and it was the perfect ending to our perfect Christmas Eve.
After church we got in our jammies and laid around, watching movies, playing scrabble and eating popcorn...

It was a GREAT Christmas Eve!
Love me some Trujillos!
