Matt and I both took Monday off to recover from the holiday...and after laying around all day Sunday we thought it would be nice to get out of the house for a awhile and surprise Ashtyn with a little treat! Ashtyn LOVES to watch movies, so we thought she would be good enough and able to enjoy watching a movie at the MOVIE THEATER! Yep, we took her to see Yogi Bear, her first motion picture on the big screen. She did great and watched the whole movie without any distractions, except for 1 potty break! She looked so cute sitting in the chair with her big bag of popcorn...
The movie was so cute - definitely recommended! I am not sure if Ashtyn enjoyed the movie or the popcorn more, but she did say as we were getting up to leave - "We come back soon mommy - OK?" It is so fun to be able to take her to things like this now! It's amazing how proud you are as a parent when you see your child sitting there enjoying such a simple thing - like wow, look at what she can do now, I know that sounds weird but for me it makes all that hard work and stress worth it! Can't wait for many more movie dates....
